Mechanical Integrity Inspections
Under increasing scrutiny from local, state, and federal regulations, today’s terminal operators need up-to-date knowledge on the material condition of their facilities. Aging equipment and higher demands for uptime, carefully planned and executed inspection and maintenance programs to ensuring regulatory compliance, facility safety, and optimization of resources. Beyond the obvious financial issues associated with maintaining equipment, regular inspections can also help protect personnel, prevent disasters, and protect our environment.
We can perform inspections on a variety of equipment types, including:
- Above Ground Storage Tanks
- Pressure Vessels
- Piping Systems
- Recovery and Package Boilers
- Relief and Vent Systems
- Digesters
- Dryer Cans
- Emergency Shutdown Systems
- Heat Exchangers
- Controls
- Pumps
- Water Tanks
ITC offers a wealth of services to terminal operators to help ensure the integrity of your storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping systems, and auxiliary equipment. We provide in-service and out of service inspections by certified American Petroleum Institute (API), Steel Tank Institute (STI) inspectors, and NDT Level II and Level III trained personnel that meet the requirements of SNT-TC-1A.
We evaluate all systems according to applicable codes and standards, so clients know whether their equipment meets compliance requirements. ITC uses several forms of nondestructive testing and inspection to evaluate system health without compromising the equipment’s integrity. These methods include visual testing, magnetic particle testing, radiographic testing, penetrant testing, ultrasonic thickness testing, and bubble leak testing.
